WAR

WAr

William Arsenis

was born in Paris, on a wet day in March, 1965.

WAR left France at the age of two and spent his childhood in the upper-west side of Manhattan.

At twelve, he went to Geneva, Switzerland, where he finished high school.

He then returned to the United States for college but after three semesters, decided he wanted to be a pianist and started music studies at the Conservatory of Athens.

He took on a “temporary” job as a computer programmer to support his

family, and after six years of the nine-to-five ordeal, he was ready to jump off a tall building. Instead of earning his wings the hard way, he followed the more conventional path to becoming a pilot. He flew for eight different European startup airlines and was based in Greece, England, Belgium, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Portugal and Spain.

For the past eight years, he has been living the dream, flying for Southwest Airlines, where he lives in Arizona with his wife, their Golden Retriever, Mojo, and their Mini-Schnauzer, Sushi.

Still a chess enthusiast, but no longer a fanatic, you won’t find him studying for competitions anymore. Instead, he prefers to spend his free time with his family, at the piano, and, of course, writing.

WAR is currently finishing a shorter version of the original WHEN DEATH WON'T DO manuscript.
